Fancy Mac & Cheese
recipe found in her new cookbook Food From My Frontier
(similar version found here - but without the mushrooms)
{clockwise top left: cheese sauce / bakes mushrooms / finished Fancy Mac & Cheese / fabulous wine / 4 cheeses all grated / mac doused in cheese / sauteed onions / finished dish / freshly cooked bacon and diced mushrooms}
I fully intend on making this dish again but I do have to admit I probably will be eliminating the gorgonzola. It was a little pungent even for me!
The wine I chose for that evening was called Pool Side and it was really good! Less than $12 and well worth it! I plan on having it again out on the deck!

I've never met a PW recipe I didn't like. I've seen this one and thought about making it, but haven't yet. Glad it was good...I might opt out on the gorgonzola too.
I love the Pioneer Woman, she can do no wrong. This looks yummy--I'll go for anything with mushrooms, bacon, and cheese! Bookmarking that wine too, I'm such a wino this summer:)

Holy Mac n Cheese this all looks sooo good. I'm starving. I want everything.
Geez, I love mac n cheese, and I actually love gorgonzola, so this might be the ticket for me and my family! I guess I need to visit the Pioneer Woman as I've heard so much about her. Glad I found your blog, I'd love for you to check my site out if you get a moment...
