Tasty Tuesday - not your typical Ham & Cheese

This is a Tasty Tuesday that is very simple but so scruptous. I don't know about you but I love a warm ham & cheese sandwich. Well this one is definitely the best sandwich I've had with the sweet roll, three types of cheese and delicious ham! My friend Pamela, a fabulous chef that caters, made these for my future SIL's shower (here) and I have been wanting to make them since. For our past week away I thought it was the perfect time to enjoy this cheesy greatness!

Not your typical Ham & Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients:
1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls
mayo
1/2 stick butter, melted
poppyseeds (not pictured to the right)
6 slices Havarti cheese
6 slices Swiss cheese
6 slices White American cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Slice the rolls, leaving the tops & bottoms together
  • Spread the mayo on inside of top slice of rolls, leave off of sandwich and place to the side
  • Layer ham onto each bottom piece of roll
  • Layer cheese into each roll (place Swiss in middle so the other two cheeses will melt around it and keep sandwich together)
  • Put top of roll back on sandwich
  • Brush on the melted butter to the top of each roll
  • Sprinkle each roll with poppyseeds
  • Place in oven until cheese have melted and tops of roll are lightly browned (takes between 5-10 minutes)
Enjoy!
I can't wait to hear what you think of these when you try them.

This sounds delicious with the two types of cheese - not your average ham sandwich at all!
