Weekend Update

Happy Monday friends! We had a great & lazy weekend. I had to work a half-day Saturday so that kept us in town instead of heading down to the coast.
We did several things around the house and just spent a lot of time inside since it was pretty windy & chilly (in the 50's) for us Texans! The husband even made his chili for the first time Sunday! It was very tasty!!
Here is a peak inside our weekend!
I met Brad for lunch on Thursday and he took me to a quaint little restaurant named Aldo's. It is in the medical center and in an old historical home. We sat outside because it was so nice out but the interior was so neat. I can't wait to return and sit inside!

 They had a very tasty green salad with a light vinaigrette dressing.

and I paired the salad with an angel hair pasta dish with that had spinach & prosciutto in a light cream sauce. It was heaven!!

 The evenings this weekend were spent enjoying a nice glass of vino!

I practiced taking pictures with my camera & lens...of course my main subjects were my doggy daughters

I made another flatbread pizza with pesto sauce (see next pic), fresh tomato, sundried tomatoes and an italian cheese blend. Yum!!

Here is the pesto sauce, amazing!! You have to try it!

I also made the pumpkin crunch cake that I pinned last week on Pinterest.
