Wednesday Randomness

Hello friends! Is anyone else excited that it is Wednesday and the week is now halfway over? The weather here this week has not been the warm & sunny type that I have started to get use to this month but instead the air has been slightly chilled and the sky is grey. Boo! Doesn't help pass the hours to quickly!

Since I am always dreaming of sunny skies and beachfronts I thought I would post a few things that are on my mind lately as we prepare for Spring/Summer, the coast and hopefully a vacation!

Striped blazer
{buy here}
I love stripes! I can see myself wearing this blazer with a great pair of colored denim skinnies, simple tee and chunky necklace!

Tank dress
{buy here}
This dress is very similar to one that I found a few years ago. I love the bright green & white and could see myself wearing it alone on warm days and on cooler days (which don't happen in Texas during the summer) adding a denim or white jacket! A pair of great wedges would top this outfit off perfectly!

Baublebar Bib necklace
{buy here}
I have loved this necklace for a long time!!! Why don't I just bite the bullet and buy it already? You all know that I love pink and this would go with literally everything!

Finally, here is a little recipe that I think will have your mouth watering and you heading to the store for the ingredients today!! I made these for my husband for Valentine's Day last week. They were simple and delicious!!

Key Lime Cake Balls

Ingredients:
1 package pre-made sugar cookie dough
1 lemon
1 lime
1 1/2 packages (12 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 package white chocolate (for melting)
sprinkles or course white sugar

Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease 9x9 cooking dish.
2. Put cookie dough mix in bowl and add zest of lemon and lime.
3.  Squeeze juice from both the lemon and lime and add this to the cookie dough and zest. Mix this well to completely blend it together.
3. Place the zesty dough into the baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until done.
4. Allow baked dough to cool completely and then crumble into small pieces into a mixing bowl.
5. Add the softened cream cheese to the zesty dough and mix with a mixer.
6. When completely mixed together, roll the dough into 1 1/2 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
7. Next is the hard part (at least for me). Melt the white chocolate (I used my double broiler) and take each cake ball, pierce with toothpick, and roll in chocolate. Place on cookie sheet and sprinkle sugar or sprinkles over top. Do this to each ball. (I did NOT do this to each cake ball as I ran out of time and my chocolate wasn't melting the way I wanted it to.)
8. Return the cake balls to the refrigerator for another hour.
9. After that LONG hour passes it is finally time to enjoy your Key Lime Cake Balls! (I might have sneaked one early!!)

Enjoy!!!

Now that I have you daydreaming of fun in the sun I would love to have you head over to Lauren's blog, Stylelixir, where she has featured me today!! Lauren is absolutely gorgeous and always writes amazing posts! Head on over, I know you will become her friend and read it daily like I do!!

Those cake balls look delish! They would make a great treat for a summer party.

I also love that striped blazer, I was tempted to buy it myself last time I was at the Gap. Old Navy also has a navy blue one with white stripes at a little bit lower price point :)
