Tasty Tuesday - for the dogs!

This week I decided to do a recipe for those dog lovers and their four-legged children! A colleague told me about "Frosty Paws" made by Purina.
Well, I found them at our grocery store in the frozen dog food section but they were pretty pricey at a box of 4! He told me if the girls liked them then he would give me his "recipe" that they made for their fur children.

Of course my girls loved them! So I got the recipe and made a batch of 24 for approximately $6.00 since I had a few ingredients already at home. So, here is the recipe, it is made up of things we all eat so it has to be pretty good right? I used reduced fat items when available to keep the calorie count down for my little girls!

Your puppies will be so happy if you make these for them! See what I mean...

Frozen Paw Treats

1/2 c peanut butter
2 T honey
32 oz low fat greek yogurt
2 ripe bananas
plastic (wide mouth) dixie cups
muffin pans(s)
freezer zip locs

1. Blend peanut butter and honey until mixed
2. Fold in yogurt
3. Mash 2 bananas and blend into mix
4. Fill muffin pan with cups and spoon 1/4 cup of mix into each one
5. Freeze pan overnight (covered or uncovered) - I did NOT cover mine
6. Transfer cups to freezer bags and keep frozen for up to 1 month (mine lick them out of the cup but   you can also put them in a bowl if you have smaller dogs that can't get their noses in the cups)

You will now make your best friend so happy!!
