Weekend wrap up

We had a nice and lazy weekend around here. I had some work to do so I lounged and watched lots of reality tv and some movies. I had read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series a few years ago so we watched the movie this weekend. It was actually pretty good, pretty much what my imagination had pictured while I was reading it.

I bough a beautiful orchid and just hope that I can keep it alive!

I also received some gorgeous flowers from some of my best girlfriends! Made my weekend for sure!

I got a few projects finished as well. One was making a chalkboard for our kitchen. I bought an open back frame and painted a piece of thin plywood with chalkboard paint. It turned out perfect!

I also painted a drink tub I had bought a few years ago. It had set out on the deck and wasn't looking so pretty. So I painted the tub a glossy white and repainted the stand black. I think it looks much better!

Sunday I whipped up one of our favorite meals! It is a chicken dish and is to die for! I am posting the recipe tomorrow for Tasty Tuesday so make sure you come back and check it out. It is super easy and delicious!
