An Airplane Nursery

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had another very relaxing weekend with lots of lounging and let me tell you, it was amazing!

I have a special treat for you today! I put together a Nursery design board for my sister who is expecting her first little one, baby boy "E" we will call him, early next year. I am SO excited to be an Aunt!

She has decided to decorate with an airplane theme which I just love and think has endless possibilities. My sister is a super chic and an all-star at decorating but I just thought I would help a little!

I created a design board and added some extras that I really like and think would be great to add if she desired. I am going with different shades of gray and accents in yellow and navy.

Here is the design board:

1. A modern fan will help circulate air when needed & look great when off (resembles airplane propellers)
2. These vintage airplane watercolors would be great to hang together to make a gallery wall
3. This is one of my favorite Dwell Studio fabrics and would be great for drapery panels
4. She found this fabulous vintage airplane mobile that I am in love with & had to include
5. A modern glider will allow her to rock baby boy to sleep
6. Simple CB2 mod finish lamp will give soft light when needed
7. West Elm nightstand offers additional storage & keeps with the simple lines
8. Serena & Lily rope baskets will be great for storage
9. West Elm rug in the Horizon color, a deep yellow
10. Crib - she is wanting a crib with simple lines and modern in look.
11-13. Dwell Studio fabrics that I think would be great as accent pieces such as pillows, a poof  and lining for baskets.

I found this shade of gray that I felt would look the best for the wall color.
and she is loving a striped yellow ceiling, which I think will look great with gray walls!

Here are the extras that I found and was not able to include in my design board.
a great changing table

Crib sheets from Dwell Studio,

Airplane hooks

Beautiful vintage airplane blocks

Airplane night light
Moroccan poofs

... and just a few things for fun!
Sprinkle stoppers!!

.... and just for when he is older I think he definitely needs this Vintage Pedal Plane!

Hope Errin & baby boy "E" like their new room!

Love the theme for this nursery! Too often nurseries are centered around princesses for girls and sports for boys! This is too cute!

What a fun theme! My 3 year old would love it. I think the fan you picked out was so clever.
