Tasty Tuesday: Neiman Marcus Bars

I have a sweet treat for you today for Tasty Tuesday! This was a Pinterest find and as soon as I saw how gooey and yummy it looked & that it only had 5 ingredients I knew it would be something I wanted to try.

Neiman Marcus Bars
{recipe via}

Ingredients
Yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1 stick melted butter
1 lb powdered sugar
8 oz softened cream cheese

Steps
Preheat oven to 300 and grease a 13 x 9 baking dish.

Blend the cake mix with 1 egg and melted butter until smooth and then pour into dish.

Press the soft dough into the bottom of the dish.

Mix the powdered sugar, remaining 2 eggs and softened cream cheese until blended and pour on top of the cake dough.

Bake uncovered for 40-50 minutes until it is a golden brown.

Enjoy the gooey goodness that melts in your mouth!

My mom has been making these for many years, but she calls it "Gooey Butter Cake". I think "Neiman Marcus Bars" sounds a little more fancy and less unhealthy!
