Tasty Tuesday: Alfredo Sauce

Around our house we love our pasta & a favorite is chicken Alfredo. I thought I would try making my own sauce as I'm not usually a fan of the jarred Alfredo sauces. They always too seem to sweet for me. This was a very easy meal, however next time I will make sure and get the finely grated or shaved Parmesan instead of the shredded as I bought. It took forever for it to completely melt!

Alfredo Sauce
{recipe source}
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
 1 cup heavy cream
 1 clove garlic, crushed
 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (I chopped & then completely forgot to add)

Steps:
1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat.

2. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Then add garlic and cheese and whisk quickly, heating through. (don't rush this part as it    takes quite a while for the Parmesan to completely melt.

4. Stir in parsley and serve.

See how easy it is! I will definitely be making my own sauce from now on!
Enjoy!
