Weekend Update

Oh Monday, you are here already! We are off to another week with lots of fun in store! My husband's birthday is Thursday & I have something special planned :) I can't share yet because occasionally he will read my blog and I wouldn't want to ruin any surprises! 
This weekend wasn't filled with to many activities. I had to work my one 1/2 Saturday a month and then we headed down to the coast. We needed to get a few things done in the downstairs area.
I will start my recap on Thursday because it is usually the best day of my week. Since I am off of work I can usually fit something fun in while I get the household chores done as well!
Thursday I met one of my best girlfriends Pamela at a little place called Coco, a chocolate lounge & bistro. We had a great time catching up & enjoying wonderful food & drink!

Friday Friday was spent trying not to get washed away in the downpour of rain we had in Texas! My car has been getting some maintenance done & we ventured into the city in attempts to turn in my rental and pick it up however opted to stop at our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner instead! Priorities my friends! :)

Saturday & Sunday We headed down to the coast house after work & enjoyed a little champs.

Sunday was spent getting our spare bedroom finished up. The husband built in the shelves around the refrigerator and television stand. Pretty impressive! I worked on putting together the dresser & decorating :)

Well, now it looks like a living space/bedroom and closet!! I think I could stay down there now :)

My masterpiece!! I won't even tell you how many hours it took me to put this together!

The "bedroom" area. I found this rug at World Market and it was on sale 50% off + I received an extra 10% for being an Explorer member (free membership) and paid $68. for it!

It is 6x9 and made of natural fibers! I love a good deal!

...and of course, here is the picture of my youngest daughter, Lady. She was loving the wind!

Once we got home I wrapped up a few things & then decided to wind down with a little Malbec, pita chips & black bean hummus. It is amazing! If you haven't tried the black bean hummus you must & soon!

All in all it was a great weekend & as usual I am very sad to see it come to an end! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as well & look forward to reading your updates!
