Weekend Update

Hello friends! I hope you had a good weekend & are ready to hit the ground running this bright Monday morning!

We had a very relaxed weekend and I loved every minute of it! The temperature dropped significantly yesterday and our high was 58!! Woohoo!! It was in the mid-80's just 24 hours prior!

We celebrated the husband's birthday Thursday night so that is where I will start my recap!

 1. Our wine for the evening, Diamandes Gran Reserva, a Malbec, that was amazing! Semi-dry and smooth, not to bold.
2. Enjoying the evening with one of my best girlfriends Pamela and my SIL Kristi.
3. My Birthday Boy!
4. Our seafood appetizer! It had shrimp, oysters, crab meat and lobster.
5. We dined at Perry's, which is known for pork chops, so I had to try them! I am not a big pork fan but these were amazing! I took over half of it home and enjoyed it the next night as well.
***********
My outfit for the evening.
Dress: Loft, Necklace: Francesca's, Bracelet: Loft, Shoes: DSW.

Saturday we ran some errands, had lunch out and spent the rest of the day at the house. I rarely get a Saturday at home with the husband so I enjoyed every minute of it!!

I took the husband to Smashburger for the first time. He liked it!

We also broke down and got this bark control device. The dogs love to bark at people walking in front of the house and it is getting a little frustrating. Don't worry, this doesn't hurt them at all it just emits a high frequency sound that only they can hear when they bark. I can tell you that they stop barking as soon as it goes off...keeping my fingers crossed it works!

I spent several hours working on my CME (continuing medical education).

Saturday was nacho night at our house! Velveeta & black beans. Yum!

I got my Maybooks in the mail!

We had another bottle of this wine. It is by far my favorite Malbec!

We had hot cocoa since it was so cold here!
I know for most of you temperatures in the 50's is not cold, but for us in South Texas it is quite chilly!

I am finally going to post that I am doing the Insanity work out. I am starting week 2 and wanted to wait until I finished the first week (to make sure I completed it) to share.
I really like the workouts and have to admit it makes each day so much easier to get through.
I am getting up an hour earlier in order to do it before work.
If you haven't ever heard of it, go HERE to read more.
It is produced by the same company that made P90X however Insanity is all cardio, no weights or equipment needed! You should check it out!
I will keep you posted as I continue on my journey!!

Have a great Monday friends!

Whoa what a nice weekend! Good luck with Insanity! Let me know how that goes. I've always been iffy on it, but I'm glad that it's working out well for you! (what a bad, unintended pun that was!)

Let us know how the Insanity goes. I did P90X before we got married but am finding it hard to start back again.

Looks/sounds like a fabulous weekend. My uncle used something like what you are using to stop his dog from barking and since then the dog has only ever barked one and that was because he managed to get his paw stuck in something. Let me know how insanity goes...I did P90X before, but it made my calves bigger than they already were so I quit that. xo

What fun weekend! It's in the 50's here too and I think it's pretty chilly; definitely worthy of some hot cocoa :) And I'm super impressed that you're doing Insanity. The thought of it scares me to death. Do keep us updated on your progress!

Happy Monday!

Looks like you had a great weekend, love the Loft outfit! :) When you started Insantity, did you splurge and buy it or borrow or get it from somewhere else? I've been wanting to try it, but not sure it's in the budget :(

Ooo pretty maybooks!
Looks like so much fun for your husband, happy birthday to him!
I have a bark control thing for Hawkeye too. She anxiety barks when Pete leaves or when she hears the neighbors door, but that noise thing stopped it instantly. She looks at it all annoyed, but she learned!

Wow! I can't believe it got so cold there this weekend. We were at the beach here in GA but the ATL was quite chilly when we returned last night. Looking forward to finding this wine. Sounds like a perfect weekend! :)
