A.New.Year.
Happy Friday Eve friends!
Everyone is sharing their resolutions in the blog world this week and this year instead of making resolutions I thought that I would instead give myself "goals". I feel like if I say it is a resolution it will last a few days or weeks and then end. So here it goes!

Pray more. I want to quit trying to take life into my own hands and instead let God guide me.
Read more. I enjoy reading but always say "I'm to tired" or "I don't have time".
Run more. I completed a half marathon in 2010 and then put my running shoes up for races. I want to participate in more races and have running become part of my regular exercise again.
Save more $$! I want to shop my own closet and not financially support the stores anymore! Sorry Loft and TB, I'm talking to you!
Grow my own vegetables and herbs. I have a great herb garden and I have neglected it over the past year. I also would like to venture into growing vegetables this year.
Consistently cook more. I do "enjoy" cooking (okay, sometimes) and I would like to create more healthy meals for Brad & I to enjoy.
Learn a second language. (Yes, I should have done this in middle school) but hey, it is never to late! Brad & I are both wanting to learn Spanish. We both could utilize this in our jobs and since we love to travel, it would help on some vacations as well!
Finish decorating the rooms I've started in our home...this seems to a never ending project as I like to change things up constantly!
Most importantly, I would like for us to start a family.
Are you setting goals for 2013? I would love to hear them!

I took Spanish from 6th grade to 12th grade. I forgot a lot of it, but it did come in handy on my Mexican vacation :)

Those are such great goals! I want to grown my own herbs and a few veggies as well. I love pestos and pretty much anything with cilantro so a little herb garden would definitely cut my grocery bill down a little ;)
Great goals! I did mine on my January 2 post.
I am currently on a personal spending freeze. Day three! I need to save more too.
I'm going to be working on putting myself out there, taking risks in regards to my writing (really putting my work out there), remaining in the moment and touching as many lives as I can - positively.
Wonderful goals! I wish you the best with all of them, especially that last one :) So sweet!!
Love your idea of setting goals!
I hope you accomplish everything you want!
I'd also like to pray more and leave it up to God..and calm down and not stress out so much!
I can't cook. Period. So, I think I need to LEARN this year! ha!
