Lady loves Christmas trees and no matter where we were she was laying beneath it.
My sister & BIL with Brad & I gave my parents an outdoor heater for their patio. It was fun to see them surprised and excited!
When we got back to SA I opened my presents from Brad. He sure does know me well! He bought me these great TB Caroline wedges. Love them!
We left my parents home in Dallas Christmas Eve and headed to Brad's parents home in Houston. This was my parents house on Christmas day. I was sad we missed a white Christmas. It sure does look pretty!
This was our Christmas tree this year. I was not very happy with it. We usually have a much taller and wider tree. We will definitely be sticking with the true tree companies from now on.
Christmas night we lit the fire, stayed warm under my new faux fur throw (thanks Mom!) and sipped hot chocolate. It was absolutely perfect!
One of our gifts from my parents were new dinnerware from West Elm. I love it! This picture definitely doesn't do it justice.
{find it here}
Trader Joe's opened in San Antonio in October and I finally made my way over to their store. They had lots of great things! We had this Greek Chicken for dinner last week and it was delicious! I will definitely be making another trip soon! If you have a TJ's close to you definitely try it!
I pulled out one of my "fun" wine glasses recently.
It says, "So many shoes...so little time"
I think it pretty much suits me :)
For NYE we headed down to our coast house. We had not been there since Labor Day!! What???
I was so happy to be there and we will NOT be letting so much time pass before the next trip!
We had a shrimp boil at our house one of the nights. It was delish! Thanks Brad!
I sipped a Cape Cod and caught up on some of my magazine time over the weekend.
Much, much needed relaxation!
Here is my shrimp boil outfit :)
You guessed it, Loft and TB. (no I am NOT pregnant...this picture is very unflattering!)
We enjoyed campfires each evening at the coast.
S'mores were made on NYE. Yum!!
NYE outfit:
Loft skinnies, blouse and necklace
The hubs & I
When at the coast...
wear wigs and have fun!!
It is a tradition when at our friend's house (their house is in the same neighborhood as ours at the coast) to wear wigs...
Doesn't my husband look great with the trucker mullet! HA!
My SIL and BIL came down for the weekend as well.
We had a great time together!
All the ladies!
me, Angie (Jen's daughter), Jen & Kristi
Not to be outdone by our husbands, we had to show off too!
The boys shot off fireworks for us!
Jen's husband and son with their sparklers.
He had so much fun!
Brad had fun too :)
New Year's Day was spent lounging...Lady approved!
and finally, once we got back home Brad made his black eyed peas with bacon and ham! Yum!!
There's our recap for you! I can't wait to see what everyone else did for NYE!
Linking up with my gal Shanna for Random Wednesday!
