Weekend Recap

Oh happy day, we are back to another Monday! Does anyone else just wish that we could have 3 day weekends with Saturday, Sunday and Monday off....each week?? I sure do! 
Anyhow, enough with all of that wishing! I hope that everyone had a great weekend and is rested up and ready for another work week. I fully anticipated resting this weekend but that didn't happen. You see, the husband was going to head to the coast and I was going to stay home since I had to work Saturday morning. Well, he ended up having to do some work and stayed in town....and I am SOOOOO glad he did!! We had such a wonderful weekend together! 
I am going to start with Thursday, because I want to! :) I went to the salon for a much needed highlight & trim. Love those two hours every few months!! When I got home I decided to try out the Conair curling wand I bought last week. What do you think?

Then I fixed a little dinner and had to sport my {Danger: Blonde Cooking} apron!  {recipe will be here tomorrow}

Saturday, the husband & I met in Gruene for a little lunch date! 

I sipped a delicious mojito.

We spent the rest of Saturday relaxing and enjoying our evening together.
Sunday we headed to Lowe's to pick up new landscape lighting to replace our current lights, mulch and fertilizer. (I know, you are thinking this sounds like a blast!)
I did get a pair of pink work gloves though! :)

We stopped off at Five Guys for a little {fuel} before we spent the rest of the day in the yard working our tails off!!

We completed our weekend watching a little Oscar red carpet {another 5 points for the hubby - he doesn't typically do this!} and lounging.
It was a weekend of fun & work and I enjoyed every second of it!!
