Tasty Tuesday: Mahi Mahi with Caper Garlic Cream Sauce

Around our home we are big fish eaters. I am always looking for different ways to fix either mahi mahi, halibut or tilapia. I love to have wild rice, black beans and a veggie with it but sometimes it is fun to add a sauce to the menu.

Today I am sharing one of my favorite sauces. It would go great on any fish or even pasta. I think you will really enjoy it as well! It was quite simple to put together and doesn't require to many ingredients.

Mahi Mahi with Caper Garlic Cream Sauce
{recipe  source}

Ingredients:
4 mahi mahi fillets
olive oil
salt and pepper
Caper Garlic Cream Sauce
2 tablespoons garlic, finely minced
2 tablespoons capers
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 cup chicken stock
2 cups heavy cream (I used half and half)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions:
1. For sauce- combine all ingredients except lemon juice and reduce by half over medium heat.

2. Add lemon juice and serve over prepared mahi mahi fillets.
3. For fillets- Coat bottom of a large skillet with olive oil and heat to almost smoking.
4. Salt and pepper fillets and pan sear each fillet for 3-4 minutes on each side.
5. Plate each fillet and serve with Caper Garlic Cream Sauce.
See how simple this recipe is?? I hope you will try it the next time you are trying to figure out how to make your fish dinner just a little different.

Enjoy!

Ok, you've done it again! This looks delish! Can you come cook for me, please? Haha! One thing I miss about Savannah is all the fresh seafood. I refuse to buy or eat anything that's been frozen. I guess you could say I'm a food snob! I will have to try this one. It sounds so good! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Sara
